La Ferme Overall
In the beginning...
Towards to end of the last century we had been taking our summer holidays in the Dordogne, and considering the possibility of maybe one day retiring to the area. We were here in 2002 and decided to take just a very preliminary view of the property market.
Three days later we had agreed to buy the nineteenth century Farmhouse together with the vast historic 500 yr old Perigordian barn!
We have had a great six years developing the three rental properties, with the inevitable trials and tribulations, but I can say with certitude that we have never regretted it! We let first the Farmhouse and then the Barn Gites, and I am pleased to say we have had nothing but praise from our renters.
Cutting the story short........
So what do we have now?
The Farmhouse has been totally renovated with new kitchen, shower rooms, all plumbing and electrics.
The vast barn has been converted into two large unique Gites each with galleries and eight metre high exposed beam structures, on three floors.
Outside each gite has its own garden for its exclusive use, with barbeques and seating, and the pool (see below) is accessed directly from each garden.

The Pool
The Pool is 26 ft by 13 ft, and is surrounded by 140 sq yards of decking. Shared by the three rental units, there is plenty of room for all. (Click on the thumbnails)
